Welcome!

You've come to the right place for up to date information about internship, volunteer and job opportunities, as well as college application and scholarship deadlines, field trips, and events happening on campus. You'll also find posts on how to be as successful as possible when planning for your future!

At the bottom of this page you will find a google calendar with information about events, application deadlines, and program information. I find it easiest to navigate the calendar in "agenda" view, which you can switch it to by clicking the "agenda" tab in the upper right hand corner of the calendar.

In addition to the blog, we frequently send out emails with information that is then posted on the blog. Whether your a student, parents, or community member please feel free to join the list serve! You can do this by emailing me the message "add to list serve": macdanme@hsd401.org.

If you have any questions or need any support please stop into the LTI Office or College and Career Center, send an email, or call.

LGBT Friendly Colleges and Universities

Huge congrats to The Closet Crashers for putting on such an awesome event. The word on the street is it was...
THE BEST DRAG DAY EVER!!

As a follow up to yesterday's Drag Day here's a great resource to learn about LGBT Friendly Colleges and Universities.
Campus Pride
Building Future Leaders & Safer, More LGBT-Friendly Colleges & Universities

What is Campus Pride?
Campus Pride represents the only national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization for student leaders and campus groups working to create a safer college environment for LGBT students. The organization is a volunteer-driven network "for" and "by" student leaders. The primary objective of Campus Pride is to develop necessary resources, programs and services to support LGBT and ally students on college campuses across the United States.
Founded in the Fall of 2001 and launched a year later in October of 2002, Campus Pride started as an online community and resource clearinghouse under the name Campus PrideNet.  The original founding partners were M. Chad Wilson, Sarah E. Holmes & Shane L. Windmeyer. In 2006, the organization broadened its outreach efforts and restructured as the current educational non-profit organization Campus Pride.  As part of the restructuring process, the Lambda 10 Project for LGBT Fraternity & Sorority Issues (www.lambda10.org) became an educational initiative of Campus Pride.  The executive director is national LGBT civil rights leader and campus pioneerShane L. Windmeyer
